A Tale of Two Centuries - Rachel Harris e-Arc received in exchange for honest review.

I can’t express how much I love this book! Not only does it have awesome characters, but the plot is just amazing too. I’m trying to avoid spoilers, but just a fair warning: this is the second book in a series, so there might be spoilers about the first book in here!

The book starts out in the 16th century in Italy. It has been two years since Alessandra saw her 21st century cousin (Cat) and in those two years she has been longing for an adventure of her own. After something happens to Alessandra she’s devastated about, she finds herself in the opportunity to go on a time travelling experience herself. Of course she says yes and soon finds herself to be in 21st century Hollywood. She shows up on Cat’s doorstep and the adventure begins. For Alessandra two years have gone by, but Cat informs her that only two months have passed since Cat’s departure from the 16th century.

I don’t want to give away too much details of the book, but let me just tell you that Alessandra’s time-travelling experience is hilarious, awesome, swoon-worthy and also heartbreaking. Of course, there’s a super hot, challenging and well sometimes just rude love interest in this book. But believe me, you will totally swoon over this boy! He challenges Alessandra and with the help of him, she transforms completely. By the end of the book she has grown so much and she has become so much stronger, but she will always be this proper girl from 16th century Italy.

This book focuses on Alessandra, but we also get to see some of Cat’s life (and love).

Overall, I love how Rachel writes the transformation of Alessandra and how she can always make me swoon and blush, and laugh and cry, just by turning a page. I can really recommend this book to everyone, but don’t forget to read the first in this series first: My Super Sweet Sixteenth Century.

PS: I am SO proud to be in Rachel’s Flirt Squad! Not only does this woman write awesome books, she is so involved with her fans. Rachel, thank you for everything!
